If either the front or rear power switch is turned off, follow the steps below to turn on printer power.

1.Make sure the IM-5*5 power switch is turned off.

2.Turn on the rear and front power switches.

3.Turn on the IM-5*5 power switch.

Power failure or power plug disconnection

In this mode (DIP switch 2-4 is off), the printer does not automatically turn back on when power

returns after a power failure or after the power cable has been disconnected. Follow the steps

below to turn on the printer power.

1. Turn off the IM-5*5 power switch.

2. Make sure the rear and front power switches are turned on.

3. Turn on the IM-5*5 power switch.

Power switch fixed mode + IM interlock mode

In this mode, the rear and front power switches remain on, and printer power is turned on or off

with either of the procedures described in the power switch fixed mode or IM interlock mode.

CAUTION:

If you choose the power switch fixed mode to turn off the printer power, be sure to use

the power off command. If this command is not sent, drying of ink in the print head may

cause printing problems
