Do not touch the tip of the Damper sub-unit’s tube. Contamination of tube tip could

cause ink leakage.

Follow the steps below to disassemble the unit.

1. Perform the head exchange sequence using the TM-J8000 Service Utility. See the “Head

exchange sequence” section in Chapter 5.

2. Remove the covers so you can access the

Mechanism assembly, M-J8000

3. Remove the connector box and remove the

Cover, connector board
