Cover open button mechanism
The cover open lever is supported by the main frame shaft. The cover open button along with its
return spring is supported by the side of the paper guide. Pressing the cover open button while
the frame cover is closed causes part of the cover open button to link with the cover open lever,
which rotates the cover open lever. The cover open lever pushes up the shutter blade, which
pushes up the frame cover. The platen pushes up the thermal head, separating them. This
removes the force stopping the frame cover, making it possible to open the frame cover with
little power. When the operator releases the cover open button, the cover open button is
returned to its prescribed position by the return spring.
The cover can also be opened by directly pulling up on the thermal cover AA (plastic cover)
with strong force.
Display Mechanism
The display panel, which is located inside the paper guide, has three LEDs (POWER, ERROR,
PAPER OUT) and one push-button (FEED).
