6. Select Monitor to monitor network printers that do not have

drivers installed in your computer. Select Do not monitor only

if network traffic is a problem. Click Next.

Note (NetWare network-based printers):

In the screen shown below, set the number of hops (0 to 15) and click

Next. This option is available only if IPX/SPX is installed in your

computer and you selected Monitor NetWare printers in step 5.

Caution:

If you have dial-up routers, they may automatically dial up the

next hop and you are likely to be charged for the line connection

depending on the number of hops you set. To prevent this and

to keep network traffic to a minimum, set hops carefully. For

more information, see “Monitoring printers beyond routers” on

page 11-31.
